We are happy to advise that we will be holding another retreat this year in Wellington on 16th, 17th and 19th June.

Geshe Dhonam will be leading the retreat once again on the Lam Rim. This follows on from the last two retreats.

This graduated path is strongly emphasised as absolutely essential to gain realizations and progress to enlightenment for the sake of all beings. The great masters who are highly realized continually undertake these meditations knowing their importance.

Geshe Dhonam is returning from a Lam Rim Retreat with Dakpo Rinpoche in France just before this retreat. Dakpo Rinpoche is a reincarnation of Serlingpa who taught Atisha Bodhicitta after Atisha undertook many difficulties to get to this master in Indonesia. Atisha is one of the major figures in the spread of 11th century Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism in Asia and inspired Buddhist thought from Tibet to Sumatra.

Geshela is thus meeting with one of the most important living masters of the Lam Rim in the world and passing some of this knowledge to us fresh from his retreat.

This will be a wonderful opportunity for us all.

The retreat will be held on Friday 16th, Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th June at the Home of Compassion Island Bay (same place as the last two years). The retreat will begin at 7pm on Friday and end at 5pm Sunday. Geshe Dhonam has asked that all participants stay at the retreat for that period.

The cost will be $200 for a single room and $165 for a shared room. Vegetarian food will be provided. If you have any dietary requirements, please let Sheryn (021509605) know

If you wish to attend this retreat please email the Centre on this address advising us of your wish to attend and deposit the money into the bank account – details below. If you would like to pay this amount in instalments, that is great, just reference it clearly so we know that it is you!
